Thai Airways Confirms Undisrupted Flights to Japan

Thai Airways confirms no disruption in flights between Bangkok and Tokyo while also eyeing Osaka and Nagoya airports as alternatives if the situation worsens.

President of Thai Airways International, Piyasvasti Amranand, stated that flights between Bangkok and Tokyo will be in service as usual.

There will be two flights per day to Tokyo, landing at Narita and Haneda airports.

To prevent any damage that might occur, the flights will not stay overnight.

In addition, transit systems in Tokyo have not been restored yet and it is not convenient to commute.

On-board meals on the return flights will be loaded from Bangkok to prevent food contamination.

However, if the Japanese government declares a no-fly zone within 100 kilometers of the Fukushima nuclear power plant or if the situation worsens, Thai Airways will use Osaka and Nagoya airports instead.

Thai Airways confirms that it will not raise air fare for the route between Bangkok and Japan from 13,000 baht, excluding tax and other fees.
