Thai (Issan) Mouth Organ

Seen them at the Night Bazaar and Baan Tawai. Think they may also have it the "antique" type store on Tae Pae Rd. On the left side coming from the river.

In your shopping foray, you might have a little better luck if you use the Thai/Isaan name: Kaen (pronounced "can") rather than "mouth organ." Also, make sure they're playable, if your friend wants an authentic Kaen. Most you see in tourist/souvenir shops are a facsimile of the instrument, and not necessarily functional. Ask if the clerk is from Isaan, and then make them play it for you! :)
