Taxi Or Limo From Surat Thani To Nakhon Si Thammarat

Featured Replies

Dear All,

Can anyone suggest or recommend any private hire car with driver that I can get from Surat Thani to Nakhon Si Thammarat? - ideally on Saturday (2nd April) morning or possibly Friday evening.

I need to attend the funeral of a close family member but NST airport is closed till the 4th April (according to Nok Air), so my only realistic option is to fly to Surat Thani and travel from there. I understand the roads are passable but I dont want to drive myself as I dont know the area and need to be on time. I cant ask any of the family to come and pick me up as I will arrive at 8 am.

Any suggestions for companies would be great.

Thanks,

Luke

The only way you will get down there at the moment is in a 4 X 4 vehicle and a raised one at that. Surat airport has also been closed so I wouldn't rely on it being open. Tough call to make at the moment.

Thanks for the info, I checked and was told by Nok that the airport was open and they were taking bookings for it, but it looks like a toss up whether it will be or not and the roads may be impassable, Krabi has landslides so risky to travel over as roads are likely to be closed and Hat Yai is a long way and also may not be passable - short of a boat lookds like I am out of options. If anyone hears of anything please let me know.

I have a friend who is driving up from Songkla tomorrow. he will let me know what the roads are like and will let you know. At the moment it is still pouring down and the water level is rising. We are stuck in Khanom heading for Samui at the moment but even if the ferries were running in the morning we could not get to the pier and I am in a raised 4X4.

But at least here we have cold beer, internet and electricity so not all bad ;)
