How Bad Is It On Samui Right Now? Area By Area

Featured Replies

I am stuck offshore working and have just been told by gf that the devastion in lamaibeach area is HUGE!?! Our shophouse have been flooded on the groundfloor!! 2005 and last Nov when it rained we had a strong current outside on our road(deep perhaps 25-40cm) but the water need to raise another 60-80 cm to enter our appartment.

Now as i said we are flooded but i also hear her say that motorbikes have been flushed to sea!!! All convinientstores are closed, freshwater can not be bought or delivered.Electric been away 48 h+.Calling a mobile in lamai just result your call to be forwarded to the answeringmachine, banks and ATM are down and i seen the pictures from chaweng beach rd of the height of the water.

I am normaly calm person(my gf is not that cool....)

How bad is it in fact?? And please, state what area of Mui you report from.

Regards AB Seaman

Hi Mr Lamai.

I think your best bet is to check out the post entitled. "Update on flooded areas" or something like that. The post is near the top of the page.

Cheers.

Its bad ! Most parts of Samui have been effected to some degree and in some places it has been hit really hard.
