Payment For Settlement Visa

Featured Replies

Off to regent house next week to put in the supporting documents and get the biometrics done and pay etc. Can I pay cash at regent house? according to the VFS website I have to make payment at a bank and bring a cashiers cheque. Also I would rather pay online as the Embassy give 52 Baht to the pound at the moment. Any advice?

I think you have no choice but to pay by Banker's draft.

The Mrs and I just went along to Regent House with the cash, bought a Banker's Draft at the Siam City bank on the ground floor, on the right as you first walk into Regent House, (opens at 8.30am) then proceeded to submit our documents, Simples.

I think the 52 baht to the pound rate shown on the VFS website is the rate the UKBA have used to convert the visa rates into baht.

i.e

Settlement visa is 750 quid.

750 quid converted into baht using a rate of 52 baht to the pound = 39000

This fee is set to rise very soon, by 60 quid I believe (if it hasn't already, can't remember the date for the rise...new tax year???)

VFS informed us price goes up 06 April.
