Travel To Koh Samui

Dear friends,

Can someone tell me if is now possible to drive from Bangkok to Koh Samui ? via Route 35 , Route 4 , Route 41 and final Route 401 till Don Sak Ferry.

The Ferry company inform us that they are open but what about the roads situation?

Samui is fine- ish. Slow getting around but that's all. I had a friend drive down from HH to Chumphon and had no problems and the ferries are running normally

Just allow yourself plenty of time for the journey to account for slow sections which you are bound to hit. I have heard we are in for more rain and wind early next week so check the forecast before you leave.

Thank, but this gone be about 15 hours drive now and maybe more... Please if you have any update let me know regarding the situation of Surat Thani and i guess 4X4 car can move there..

I came over here on the 5 th april, had no problems to get to Surath, i am still staying here. The ferries to samui are also working normally, i see no problems, why not to come.
