Thanks Mole, I must have missed your post on the timescale of recent Wetness.

I stopped tonight and the lights were on in there- no security to say MAI OPEN- maybe we need another update tomorrow for valid RE-OPENING times. one doesnt like to be misled.

The trolley guy i saw said 15th minimum? who knows?

Umm, as I stated in the first post in this thread.

I went there on Monday at about 16:30 (4:30 PM) and talked to the security guard who said they'll open 12th.

Note that I wrote "scheduled" in my first post. Whenever they manage to open within this date is not my fault. I'm just passing on first hand information.

If this isn't a confirmation enough for you, perhaps you should go and ask in person some time...

You said the light were on, but nobody to tell you it's closed. Were the doors locked?

If the doors were indeed locked, would you still need a security guard to tell you whenever they're closed or not?????

The reason why the lights were on were probably because they're working to prepare it for the opening.

samui543, you were not the only one to miss my first post

First it was H2oDunc who posted just after my post asking about opening date, then you quoted my post while asking about opening date which is already stated in my first post which the quoted post was referring to.

I was like <deleted>, don't people read things properly before posting??

So, I decided to make it BIG so now nobody should miss it.

I hope you got as annoyed by my big fonts as I was by your lack of reading...

UPDATE

I got hold of phone numbers to Tesco Lamai:

077256500 - 39

I called them and a lady told me that they don't know yet when they'll open but they are trying to open as soon as they can.

They hope to be open before Songkran.

They told to call in to enquire when they'll open on a day to day basis.

Perhaps they had an internal deadline on April 12, that's why the security guard told me so.

I asked in Thai "When will you open?" he replied firmly "12th".

Maybe we can set up a Thaivisa Rota on who will call on a day to day basis ? , just so we are fully inform on what is going on?

Still closed today as well

Maybe you could point out to me just in which part of my post am I asking about an opening date ?

I also think that anybody that thinks the security guard of any establishment is the man to ask for anything of importance is not the right person to rely on as to when anything is due open or shut. :sorry:

And as a person who hasn't read the posts you should not be calling other people for the same and no big font's needed ;)

Also Just how sure can you be that it was precisely 16-30 ?

At the time, the security guard who works at an establishment should at least know something about their work place??? I think you are looking down on the security guard too much!

I was just wondering <deleted> was going on when I just wrote in previous post that they'll open 12th (which of course implies that they'll be closed till then) then you post a "situation report" stating that they're still closed??? I think people kind of know that already that they're closed.

I'm so so sorry about assuming that you wanted to know about when they're opening, but rather you were merely pointing out the obvious that they were still closed and not wondering at all when they'll open....

I was PRETTY DARN SURE it was around 16:30 because I happen to look at my mobile phone clock!!!

(If I wasn't fuqing sure of the time, I wouldn't have written it would I??????)

Heh, maybe a certain person who likes to post daily about that they're still closed could be up for this task....

I'm just wondering if there were any damaged goods like canned stuff etc which is still perfectly good and that they may have them for sale at the usual 50% discount.

Nevermind, I just called them and they said there won't be any "sale".

All damaged wares were sent back and new replacements are shipped in.

Maybe something about insurance regulations?

A bit slow there mole, they gave everything away about a week ago ! , ( Food Stuff )

They will however have damaged electical goods for sale , like they did in Tesco Chaweng.

Maybe they will some baked beans to give away alongside the egg poachers?

Deleted the super font posts, as per OP's request as not to confuse matters.

I am well confused now  so is it 1630 on the 12th April or 12pm on the 16th April? Now Where is that security guard?

Tesco Lamai is open today Monday 11 April!

I just called them a moment ago.

Confirmed- sign outside says Open Monday 11th April.

Cracking job mole- are you attending the grand opening?

Posted

Hehe, maybe around late afternoon when they start to put out discounted milk & bakery products which are near expired.

But since they've just opened with new stock, there may be not much.

I prefer Tesco Chaweng because it's bigger but Tesco Lamai is very close to my office.
