Alcohol Age Limit In Thailand

this year i took my 16 year and 11 month old son to thailand, we went into some beer bars and he drank coke, but on some occasions i did let him have the odd bottle of singha.

i do not see any thing wrong with this as he was under my control and he is also a sensible lad [well when he's with me anyway].

kids grow up faster now than they did years ago, and i beleive if you give them access to small quantities of beer, when in a controled situation, then their is no need for him to become a secret drinker.

as with most kids it is thrilling to do something naughty

2. you have to be 18 to drink

as i am under 18 i would realy like to know what the true story is so that i can bring the right amount of holiday money accordingly, thanks

I brough back 6 cans of Singha beer when I came back from Thailand.

They have the number "18" printed in large bold print with a hexagon around them... in amongst all the thai writing (sorry, my Thai is not good enough to translate!) the number "18" appears a few times, so I's say it's fairly safe to assume that you need to be 18 to buy beer.
