RIO DE JANEIRO (BNO NEWS) -- A gunman opened fire at a school in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro on Thursday morning, killing at least 12 people and injuring many more, state-run media reported.

The state-run Agencia Brasil reported that a 23-year-old former student had opened fire at the Escola Municipal Tasso da Silveira school in the western Realengo area of Rio de Janeiro. He shot a total of 34 people, 12 fatally, before killing himself.

Agencia Brasil said the gunman had left a suicide note which explained the motive for the killing spree. Details from the letter were not immediately released.

if i check the big Brazilian online newspapers of today i can read the letter the gunman wrote, various other articles, witness accounts, opinions of psychologists, statements by the police and so on. articles that list school massacres in history and compares them, specially North American massacres. plenty information.

But nowhere this Islamophobic and alarmist BS you picked out. How comes?
