thaimate
They said the same last year and still do nothing about it , glad when the whole silly season is over.
dananderson
Exactly. It would be news if they actually enforced this law as they did not last year. This is pure posturing for the media, who are apparently easily manipulated by the powers that be.
bangkokrick
'especially foreigners' So we are to blame for this one as well. I have seen many Thais firing these high powered water guns from the back of pick up's. Agreed they won't enforce it. Cheers, Rick
craigt3365
We drove down Jomtien beach yesterday...saw one water truck on the beach side of the road and another just driving around blasting everybody...especially scooters! High powered for sure! We then saw a Thai guy from a bar drop a huge block of ice into a trash can they were using...ugh...luckily in a car and never got a drop on us... theoldgit
Maybe the journalists from Pattaya People could interview the Chief of Police to ascertain how they actively policed this crackdown, maybe some facts about how many people were fined and how many of these illegal high pressure guns were confiscated. It would be good journalism and I, for one, would very much welcome a follow up report.
Chang_paarp
There were high pressure guns all up and down Nakleua Rd yesterday, the cops did one patrol getting some. Then business as usual.
