AZBill
My wife and I are moving back to the States in about 3 weeks. I want my wife to be able to video chat with her mom here in Thailand. If I get them both iphone 4s, wilth her mom's service here (no wifi) and my wife's service in the US (wifi available), will they be able to use the video chat feature to talk to each other? I should also add that her mom does not have access to an internet connection in her home so phone internet is her only option. wpcoe
If you're referring to FaceTime, both parties need to be using WiFi. However, I think you can use Skype on the iPhone via non-WiFi if you jailbreak the iPhone and download some software via Cydia.
surayu
No it's not her only option, she can get an unlimited internet satellite connection wherever she is in Thailand with IP-Star, decent speed for less than 3000 bahts per month (2Mb). Just walk in at any of the TOT branches or any other official resellers, they will come to your home, fix the dish and do all the setup for you.
