Hello

I would like to say to my thai girlfriend ( in thai of course ) that she has distinction ( the exact term in french , my tongue langage, is " tu as de la classe" ) ; how do you say it in thai and, by the way, how do you say in english ( you have distinction, you are a distinguished person ? )

you can write it in thai, i can read it

thank you for your help

I suggest you do not even think of saying anything like this to a Thai girl - or any girl for that matter.

It’s so obviously false - and so embarrassingly pathetic and cringing.

ประจบประแจง as a Thai might say.

Patrick

I suppose it depends on the motives of the OP. I mean after all, maybe he's just trying to get his leg over.

I say let it roll and let the girl decide the outcome. Although, i have to agree if i tried something like that where i come from, i can just imagine the likely response. :hit-the-fan:

Let us know how you get on Molamka.

If that is what you want to say, then there is an appropriate noun. From the Royal Institute Dictionary: สุภาพสตรีน.

"หญิงที่มีกิริยาวาจาเรียบร้อย รู้กาลเทศะและมีคุณธรรม เช่น ท่าทางเธอเรียบร้อยสมเป็นสุภาพสตรี.

'A woman of proper manners who is aware of the proper time and place and is a person of virtue. For example, "Her bearing and demeanor are appropriate for a lady." '

A lady, a gentlewoman. And, I would say, "a lady of distinction".

What do you think?
