Monitor Prices In Thailand

Featured Replies

Moving to Thailand in August and was wondering whether to ship over my current 23' monitor or sell it here and buy a new one on arrival. What are the prices like for large high rez monitors compared to the UK?

Also, any idea of pricing for pro level video equipment in Thailand? Can you point me to any retail websites so i can do some price comparison's with the UK?

Thanks

Dom

I just bought a Samsung Syncmaster B2430 for 6900 baht ... how does that compare with UK?

search in google: 6900 thb in gbp

6900 Thai baht = 138.289048 British pounds

Sell it....shipping costs would probaby be close to or more than a new monitor over here. Then you don't have to worry about shipping damage, customs, and you'll have a brand new monitor.

It really depends on the quality you want, if using for just web surfing, etc, then a "low end" 4000 to 7000 baht monitor will probably suffice, (that is mainly what is available here) ... If you have and bring a higher end monitor, you may get dinged import duty....

if you need a quality monitor for photography etc. then they are hard to find here in Thailand... I've been doing a fair bit of research on that lately... there is not much out there.... even in BKK from what I seen on web pages so far. Selection is poor and you may wait weeks for a special order... In the next week or so headed up to BKK to hopefully "touchy feel" ... look...

If you go to the top of the page and do a "quick search" under computer monitors, you'll come across posts on the subject....

I assume you are inquiring about computer monitors?

With the price of Full HD LCD TV's in Thailand coming down to less than 7K baht for a 23", I would never again buy a dedicated monitor.
