Several Bombs Explodes In Bali Tourist Areas

It's all very well for tirades of don't be prejudice against the muslims etc. Personally I think it has got to the point where people are fed up with this - look at the bombings in the UK. Many people were trying to disengage this whole thing from the religion and accept it was a few fanaticals - but here you have these ordinary guys from Bradford or wherever carrying out these atrocious acts all in the name of religion, because there certainly wasn't any other reason. The chord that ties them together is religion or whatever form of it they are choosing to follow.

If the muslims don't want to carry the burden of other peoples prejudice then they should be more vocal of their condemnation of these acts and be seen to make a maximum effort to put their house in order. Some people are going to be prejudice and these terrorists are reinforcing this over and over again; if ordinary muslims are against this I don't see much being done about it.

Case in point , with the 2 soldiers killed by insurgents a couple of weeks ago. The whole village kept people out while they were killed. Seems many people involved in that murder - are they all crazy terrorists. Seems like many ordinary people capable of murder - all good recruitment material.

We all know there are problems in the world, but it seems their agenda cannot be met with dialogue. If the muslim population wants to prove that they can live in harmony with the rest of the world, then there has to be a big effort on their part to sort the situation out. Days of portraying themselves as the underdog are over, they have clearly defined themselves as the aggressor without reason, emotion or explanation.

Agreed.  And Butterfly, either get educated or give it up.  Nobody in their right mind blames what is happening in the Philippines, Russia, Sulawasi, or SOUTHERN THAILAND on anything ANY western leader has done.  It is all in the name of Islam and trying to get their own country so they can run it their way.  Which means all their crazy laws that they could never get put in place with reasonable minded people.  Like was said before, they have been doing this for thousands of years.

I think what Bush did was wrong with regards to Iraq.  But what these people are doing to innocent people is what we are talking about here.  They are killing their own people!  How crazy is that.  Terrorists plain and simple and they need to be wiped out.

The only problem I have with muslims is that ###### loud speaker 5 times a day.  :D

Once again, this post prove how racist americans (and the west in general) is in regard to muslims and the ME. All in the name of freedom :D

You are proving to be an ignorant racist uneducated redneck who need a good spanking by a few "arabs" to get the message.

Terrorism is an act of cowardice, but likewise bombing weddings and innocent civilians (Hiroshima and Iraq alike) from 10,000 feet is not an act of courage either. Americans like terrorists are cowards, so see at the end you are no better than them.

Sorry but I must say a few words. Anyone calling the bombing of Hiroshima a terrorist act must have a very damaged brain beyond repair. Do you even know where it is? Have you ever heard of WWII???? I'd suppose you would want to jail the people involved in the causing of Hitler's death???? :o

I was going to say take your pills and go to bed but realize it might be a bit rude.

What would you call the bombing of Hiroshima? Was it brave? Was it justified? Would you have been dancing in the streets celebrating the death of over 100,000 people? It may not be in the same category as terrorism but it's dispicable nonetheless and should never again be repeated - unfortunately no-one has learnt from such an act and today the killing of innocents actually continues by Muslims and non-Muslims alike - but of course the non-Muslims are always excused because they are always justified in these acts...

You can debate the use of A-bomb in WWII all you like, but one thing is certain - it ended the war in Asia.  :o

It ended the war because it shocked the whole world!! It absoluted stopped everyone because it was such a vast mass murder that the bloodshed just had to stop.

Zaz,

Please ask those questions to the people who suffered from the Japanese invasion.

Do you actually know what they did in China?

If someone is trying to kill you, and you have a gun. Do you use it?

Of course I would but there's a difference when we're talking about a bomb which is dropped by one person pressing a red button from a plane far away and killing over 100,000 people in one go.....that's very different.

But you are using just one finger to kill the whole person.

Do you know how many people they have killed and tortured in China?

Do you know how they use chinese people for bacterial experiment?

I would say the people who died of the A-bomb died much more comfortable than the people they themselves have killed.

In answer to both the above questions, no I don't, pardon my ignorance.

From your post I can feel you trying to justify the bomb...?

One-on-one on a battleground is warfare and it's about killing your opponent, fair enough, that's what warfare is. But mass indiscriminate killing is just plain ruthless.

Don't use a gun then. Use bare hands.

Isn't it as simple as that? You don't want to further injure yourself.

I was able to understand this when I was six...??? :o

I would say yes if you ask me a thousand times.

Best choice!

I feel for you I really do, there seems to be such hatred in your words. Do you have any warmth in your heart or any room for forgiveness or peace? I think not.

Yes, there we go see weapons of mass destruction was the idea of cowards who didn't want to injure themselves while killing countless others.

Who started the war?

The Americans did not want to fight! They did not want their own people to die!

They had no choice!

May I tell you that I don't kill insects in my house.

I don't eat meat coz animals feel pain.

I treat anyone I know or don't as friendly as I could.

But yes, there is hate in me, when I see brutality in humans.

I can't stop hating those idiots with masks cutting people heads off and yelling their God's name. I can't stop hating people who torture animals just for the purpose to wear their skin.

why are we debating and aguing about the the past, surely the past we should have learn't from, but alas no. we should be talking and arguing about about the future as in my opinion it just seems a little more important.

as we stand today in the west, and in asia, all throughout europe i firmly beleive what i am about to say, the muslim poulation is going to face segregation, racialist abuse, and possibly violence against them and that is in countries without a war ie europe, america, and asia.

the reason being is people are scared and they just do not understand what the radicals are doing and when people do not understand people get scared.

it is no good saying the west is murdering innocent people in iraq because if the west and the allies were not there well ithink we all know the deaths between factions would be horrendous.

that said why oh why do the so called moderates not make a big and bold statement to denounce the idiots that are going to cause them so much hardship in the future, until the moderate peace loving muslims show some concern not just on forums but massively and publicly the west and asia are starting to get very tired of we are the oppressed story.

i talk to many people every day and this topic of coversation is always there and all the people i converse with, including a few muslims as well, agree we need some help from your moderate councils before it gets to late.

Almost forgot isnt this topic about Bali? :o

Yeh it was. Never been there myself, is it a nice then?

zaz: you should go there sometime. Bali is absolutely beautiful. I was only a few restaurants away from the one in Jimbaran in April. Very beautiful. Right on the beach. Bali was deserted. I mean empty.

What is sad is how this is going to hurt the locals. I met many, many local people who are just trying to hang on until tourism picks up...well...that won't happen now. It really sucks as they are such great people.

Zaz,sorry to get back on the war subjet again. Many atrocities have been committed by all , there are several books on the subject.

One book that has affected me deeply is one called THE RAPE OF NANKING.Give it a try, might change your attitude on the subject.
