Footy Replays

Featured Replies

The other night I get home from work, flip on the tube where my local cable company has about six sports channels and every single one of them is footy.

Now, overall not that big of a deal but all of them were replays.

So enlighten me, do you out there, the sports viewing public actually pull up and watch 2 hours of a match you already know the outcome of? You know so-and-so scores in the 50th minute do you actually watch the whole thing or is it just background noise at the bar?

I think I get more excited watching paint dry.............

ITS the same in the UK,all you have to do is look at SKY SPORTS,it is nearly all football replays.....not just sport, films as well..same same. but diferent

I don't really agree with that. I think Sky sports covers most sports well. ESPN here, is the best for non footy lovers, they cover a few different things. I agree with you about True though. Seems like 80% of what they cover is football, (lucky for me, I'm a football fan :) ) I think they pay so much money for the rights, they try and get their monies worth by flogging the games to death.

I think we would all agree, we need much better coverage of rugby, :( . Just isn't the same market as football unfortunately.
