Just checking prices of Pounds on the Internet and noticed a place selling English pounds for 49.75, but Scottish Pounds for 49.00, surely it is a good deal to buy Scottish Pounds, as they are of the same value, although not widely accepted in England the Banks must change them 1 for 1.

Cheaper because each one comes with a free sweaty sock

dam_n I thought it was some Haggis and a bit of Peat if you bought 100 Pounds

Best to get your Scottish pounds from a bank in Scotland....then you won't get ripped off by...we...no doubt a bunch of cockneyed wideboys.

Innit?

Its simply not true by the way to suggest they cannot be used in England. I have never had a note refused....but I keep my Skean Dhu hand in case of any perceived slight.

Do the Scottish Pounds have a picture of Mel Gibson on them instead of the Queen?

You'd have trouble changing this even in Edinburgh....

If you get stuck with them and try to change them to say HK dollars you might get 80% of the rate for Igurlish notes even if they accept them . I have stopped bringing Scottish notes east for this reason . Nice crisp Bank o' Ingurlan 20's every time .
