here is the thing:

I have had a non B extention for 3 years with a WP but I just got maried and although my WP has been renewed last month my non-B- is expiring at the end of this month, so instead of renewing it I would like to change it to a non -O- to avoid the 24h boot if my company went to fire me or close down.

what is the process to do so?

do I have to cancel my WP and get a new one after the non O?

do I have to go out get a non O then extend it in chaeng wattana?

can I just go to the Imm with all the paperwork and snap change my B to O?

I have read so many things and its contrary on here that I'm now completely lost ....

any advice is welcome

You just change the reason for extension of stay to Thai wife. You and she both appear and present the marriage paperwork rather than company paperwork.

as simple as this? and I can keep the WP and work?

paperwork is standard non -O- marriage paperwork or is there additional papers to present?

The normal paperwork and financial proof.

I assume financial proof is my tax receipt right?

does my salary count as proof of over 40k income ? my wife earns 40 k / month could that be also sufficient? ( eg: household income of 40 K )

I know some of my questions are stupid but as I will go to the Imm on friday I want to make sure I ask them the right questions and know some of the answers beforehand

Only your income counts. Not sure what they want to see in the case of local employment but likely the same as used for work extension of stay.

that was right, plus pics at work + letter of employer as I have a work permit and don't forget that the tax papers need a blue stamp from the revenue dept , but you have to ask for it as they don't automatically stamp it when they give them to you .

i got a one month probation stamp instead of 2 months , probably because its not my first renewal ... just a change from non-B to non-O

Suspect you are talking about a one month under review stamp and that is normal for all extensions for marriage now.

That is a 1 month under consideration.

That is normal for an extension based on marriage. The month is used to check if the marriage is real and not only on paper. immigration sends it to a commission in Bangkok who decide on giving the extension or not. But that they accepted the application means that according to immigration every thing was found OK.
