SIDNEY, AUSTRALIA (BNO NEWS) -- An Australian man on Wednesday pleaded guilty to killing his daughter after announcing it on Facebook, the Sidney Morning Herald reported.

Ramazan Acar, 24, stabbed his 2-year-old girl to death on November 18, 2010 in payback to his former fiancée Rachelle D'Argent. He posted several Facebook messages before and after the crime.

In addition, Acar violated a court order that prohibited him from approaching D'Argent's residence after he threatened to kill her, her mother, her mother's partner and his daughter.

D'Argent let Acar take their daughter, Yazmina, as he said he only wanted to drink milk with her. The mother reluctantly allowed Acar to do it as the girl had not seen her father for three months and was looking forward to spending time with him.

However, Acar never returned and began taunting D'Argent through Facebook posts, text messages and phone calls. He repeatedly told her that he was going to kill their daughter to get back at her.

On the day of the murder, Acar posted "Bout 2 kill ma kid," moments later he phoned D'Argent and told her if she wanted to say some last words to Yazmina. The girl told her mom "I love you" and D'Argent replied "I love you too."

The 24-year-old then stabbed the girl with a 30 centimeters knife. The infant died due to wounds to her chest and stomach, in what forensic experts said was a prolonged death.

After the heinous crime, Acar sent her text messages indicating that he murdered their daughter. Police located the body on the side of a road in northwestern Melbourne hours later. Acar will be sentenced in the Victorian Supreme Court on May 18.
