Semper
WHY Would you spend so much money on a house? Because I CAN and I WANT No, seriously. I want to spend my life down here, and want a nice house. I still have money left for a descent lifestyle and a good time, also have a very good income each month from my pension, so don`t have to worry to much. But thank`s for you concern :jap: Howdy MoneyMan, Any overpriced poor quality eight million baht abode that you can buy in this gangland hooker ghetto can also be rented for 25,000 baht per month. You could rent that thang for 26 years at 25,000 baht per month and only spend eight million baht during that 26 years. If you bought it and rented it out, it would take you 26 years to break even. FYI It`s money out the window to rent, as I say earlier, I looking to bay a house And you obviously have a lot of it.... so what do you care about "out the window" thing? prk888
advice ........ ALWAYS ALWAYS check the 'reserve fund' and "annual maintenace fee" situation for whatever you buy. A lot of compounds/villages/resorts/condos have owners who dont pay and the estates therefore deteriorate.

dagling
Partly agree but as a pensioner do you think you'll live another 26 years?Or will even remain in Pattaya if serious health problems occur? Well, nobody can tell the future I am 44, and hopefully I got a few years left so that`s why I will bay, not rent.
dagling
And you obviously have a lot of it.... so what do you care about "out the window" thing? But that do`s not mean that I am willing to let the money fly out the window? How you gonna end up with some money if you let your money fly all over? I`m not that rich, even if I have some money in the bank. You life can last for a long time... so make sure you have enough to be OK

kdc1899
But............. If he does still shack with his Issan Princess, and they are keen to buy land for their dream house, I have got a bargain for them. " Land for sale in an excellent location in the much sought after area of Pratumnak Hill between Pattaya and Jomtien. A few minutes walk to the beach, local shops and a short walk to taxis to downtown Pattaya and Jomtien Beach. 1,440 square metres already backfilled and level with the road. Price : 19,800,000 Baht. Sale by owner. " THAT'S only $660,000 U.S. dollars per 1/3rd an acre or........... ONLY one million nine hundred eighty thousand U.S. dollars per acre ($ 1,980,000 ) what a bargain typical of the ( optimistic ) pricing in this Kingdom. If you prefer civilized folks (etc) and infrastructure to boot then 8 - 15 million baht will get you much in the San Francisco area ( a million Asian chicks in that region ). If you had 2 million to spend on an acre of land you could easily get that acre in Paris, Monaco, Palm Beach, San Jose, New York, Dubai, Sydney, London, Moscow, ................... But, If your mind is really set on overspending (on the order of ten times) in this 3rd world Land Then may I suggest you up your budget a bit and consider this rare opportunity " NAME OF COMPLEX OR VILLAGE: Baan Natcha CATEGORY: House for Sale LOCATION: Pattaya 3rd Road KITCHEN TYPE: European Kitchen LAND AREA : 1,876 Sqm.(1 Rai 69 Tarang Wah) LIVING AREA : 400 Sqm. PattayaParent
^23 million for a place in Baan Natcha?????????? There's plenty of places there that were built for 8 million or less that will sell for not much more.
tropo
You will get a very modest house for that in the Pratumnak and Jomtien areas . Can you up it B25 ? Look in Pattaya Trader to see and get an idea of whats advailable . That`s a joke, right? As I say earlier, I`m not that known around in Pattaya so any help will be good. I saw a nice looking 2-storey house in Cosy Beach marked at 22 million. Great location and close to the beach in a very exclusive area and it's quiet too. It might be worth a look as you never know how low they will come to sell until you negotiate.

Ask the Land Registry first,a lawyer will tell you what you want to hear. Some registries will/wont ,and may ban them completely eventually, which will leave you with a Thai buyer eventually. No way a Thai will offer you anything like the sum you have paid. Your money ,your choice...go for it. Edited May 8, 2011 by dandare11

What kind of tiles are those in the kitchen? BTW nice tv unit, have one similair, mai daeng? Sorry at that price I will give it a miss, its almost like buy the land and get the house for free. How many sqm is the house, about 400 x 15000 per sqm lets call it 6 million. Didnt notice any guttering? Best of luck selling.
