An off-topic post about "taxpayers cash" and the replies to it have been deleted. This topic is about a suitable visa to stay in Thailand for the winter, a period not yet clearly defined by the original poster (OP) doingok, but apparently from four to six months.

yes i got it eventually visa, hull 3 entry will do, cheers guys mrjohnno your a star mate,worry over visa gone. haha

With all the info that a double entry will be sufficient for 6 months you decide to get a 3 entry which will require at least 2 border runs if you use the 3 rd entry while a double will only require one border run and two extensions at immigration. Depending on when you apply for and recieve your visa and arrive in Thailand your use by date may not allow the use of the 3rd visa. But it is your decision good luck to you and your stay in Thailand.
