10,000 items seized as Police raid two Mike Shopping Malls

PATTAYA: -- 10 vendors working at Mike Shopping Mall in Central Pattaya were arrested by Police over the weekend and over 10,000 counterfeit branded items were seized from the location. Officers from the Suppression of Intellectual Property Unit, a division of the Royal Thai Police conducted the raid of the venue which is well known to tourists as a venue which openly sells copies of shirts featuring well known brands

I suppose it depends on how you interpret that, but it sounds fairly Orwellian.

The vendors must have missed their weekly contributions to Thailand finest....
