Rimmer Posted May 26, 2011 Share Posted May 26, 2011 Industrial zone suggested for Pattaya PATTAYA: -- A meeting to discuss the creation of an industrial zone in Pattaya took place at City Hall on Thursday morning, chaired by Mayor Khun Itipon, and attended by more than 200 local government officials and interested business people. The mayor told the gathering he was concerned at the way all sorts of industrial-style businesses were scattered all over Pattaya in what appeared to be an ad hoc fashion. There are already industrial estates a short drive from Pattaya (Rayong, Maptaput, Amata, Laem Chabang etc), in fact some of the people who work there live in Pattaya! I think there might be an "image" problem to overcome if you plonk an industrial zone in an aspiring "world-class-family-oriented-resort". Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
