Hello Willeyeam, i understand your concern and you surely have some valid points to take action, however you might want to try a different strategy first.

I am living in a village too and at one point i had a similar problem with a couple of dogs of one particular neighbour, everytime i would ride on the road fronting his property, they would run toward me very aggressively, i decided to buy them some of the crap food they sell on the gazyllion street's carts on the way back, as soon as i started feeding them their attitude radically changed, the first day they still showed some diffidence, however, it changed very quickly, now every time they see me, they still run toward me, however you can tell the difference as they know i am a friend.

Taking a BIG chance there Surayu. If you get seen giving the dogs some food off the local cart and they up and die from botulism or something as so many people here do you'll probably get blamed .

I said that tongue in cheek but on further reflection it bears some merit.. I'd not be seen feeding anyones dogs, it could came back to haunt you if someone else decides it best to take the action the OP is suggesting.. Just saying like...

Agree, just spray them with something. What you don't want to do is bash the neighbors' dogs heads in, unless you want to rusk the neighbors returning the favor to you.

Good point, the way i see it is the owners of the dogs have done nothing to stop this situation,so if he tries to kill them i suspect he will vanish too.

I had a friend who was warned about letting his rottweiler out,he continued and the dog vanished, never to be seen again.

I'm sure he really didn't actually vanish. Someone's seen him, somewhere.

The dog has never been seen again, and thats months ago,why should i lie

1000baht

Fire crackers

Water spray filled with petrol, and a cheroot, or woodbine, depending on preference

Leopard

Brass tacks - maybe not, if you plan on riding that way again...

Gravion had a thread on this very topic - in fact, I think it was the same thread, but translated from psycho to gibberish...

You could read up there for more helpful advice

SC

mine automatically beeps the dogs when they bark(from distance).. so you can dump it outside your house if you have a dirty neighbor with a noisy dog.

Oh, hell, just when I was getting sleepy and headed to bed, now this response. Now I've laughed so hard I'm wide awake.

On a truck headed north :whistling: ...

Nah, Rotties are meaty and black.

Headed east, more likely. Gonna nick someone's dog, might as well pay for the gas.

well,im closing this thread . it is offesive, promotes illegal activities, cruelty to animals and doesnt really address the problem of how to deal with an aggressive pack of feral dogs. the OP is blatantly talking about taking the law in to his own hands using poison and causing injury or death to animals.

if the dogs are a real problem, and had the OP posted a normal topic in the vets/pets area, poeple might have given him better ideas, or tips for handling this problem, which comes up every so often on the forum.

and as several posters have written, it is sometimes better to leave aggressive action up to the thais in the area... the OP can let his wife take care of the situation; and certainly he doesnt have to post here about any specific illegal actions that were taken.

poisoning means that children cats and family dogs could die. and there have been members here on the forum whose beautiful family pets were poisoned inadvertantly from actions such as the one the OP wants to take.
