I recently bought an '07 CBR150R; and I'm looking to supe it up a bit to make it go faster, but still have decent handling. I'm open for tips/advice on places to take it to around the Chiang Mai area that will do decent work and not try to rip me off. (I can speak/read Thai).

Specific desires: upgraded gearbox from stock, tire dimensions to allow for handling while not compromising gas mileage/speed abilities too badly.

I'm all ears.

Thanks!

fluent thai reader/writer then check out the Thai cbr150 club forum.

Probably lots of info in the rather large cbr 150 thread on here too.

Tyres: the Michelin Pilot Sporty get good reviews, think the rear at 120 is bigger than the stock (110?) and people say is a good buy.

if you stick mainly in the city and ride up doi suthep, throw a 14 tooth sprocket on front, you'll like it.

But go anywhere outside the city, like to Pai or Chiang Rai you will hate it.

or keep the 15 tooth under you seat and have it changed out for 50 baht at any shop.

If you stick to the very popular exisiting cbr150 thread, you will probably find bunch of advice and gain more advice.
