His big beautiful bill
📊 Roughly 12% of the U.S. population relies on SNAP as of 2025. That’s based on an estimated 41 million recipients out of a total population of about 347 million. While the percentage fluctuates slightly year to year—depending on the economy, policy changes, and other factors—it’s remained in the 11–14% range in recent years. You and your buddy @Mike_Hunt hunt may apologies but I suspect you wont. -

Travel to the uk
Currently back in UK for the first time in a couple of years; one thing to note is that using a smartphone Wallet is now the equivalent of paying via QR code scan from your Thai banking app. I have barely used cash or card since I arrived. Trains, buses, cafes, restaurants, shops, everywhere. If you still have a UK bank account, or a Wise card, add it to Wallet and it'll make life a lot easier. -

Random Immigration Checks
From your post it seems like there is a systematic review occurring, which is fine to weed out the non-compliant or illegal aliens. We either can bear it, deal with it or get on our horses and go -- totally up to the individual. Thailand seems to have a reasonable idea of where aliens live and IDK what is so wrong. Been here 20 years and no one has asked me anything. Stopped once for speeding and once to show a policeman my bag exiting a bus at Ekammai.
