Hi,I'm a Kiwi going to L.O.S. this year and upon looking at the latest tourist application form,it says I need onward ticket, guarantor And copy of bank statement.Bank staetment is no prob, but in the past,I've got same in Lao&Cambo with no t. icket or gaurantor.I prefer to buy other tickets in B.K.K.Can one of you guys advise me plse? Also, will all airlines let one onboard without outward ticket?Air asia tells me they wont from K.L.-B.K.K.If I did get to B.K.K. would I get the visa on arrival with no ownward ticket? Thanks.

With a Visa (not a visa exempt entry) there should be no problem with any airlines under the posted IATA page. (posted rules say that if you do not show proof of onward travel for a visa exempt entry, that the airline can deny you boarding)

I looked at the form on the http://www.thaiembassynz.org.nz/PDFs/Visaform.pdf website --- I would suggest giving them a call regarding proof of onward travel that they state in the Tourist Visa section is required)

Their website seems to be combining the requirements for a visa exempt entry (onward travel etc) and a Tourist visa (proof of onward travel not normally required because the visa itself can be extended another 30 days inside the country)

Application forms often cover everything but do not require all fields to be filled in if from a major country or doing in home country. I have always put "self" in the guarantor field when asked.

Lop --- it is what is stated UNDER the form regarding Tourist Visas that is different than normal on the NZ website (see the link above)

A ticket or flight itinerary is a normal printed requirement, even in the US, for tourist visa issue. Even on the MFA website it is listed as a requirement. We know that often it is not asked but can be.
