Hi,

I know this is a bit off-topic for a Thailand forum, but I am planning a trip to China over xmas, possibly popping down to Thailand for a week.

In regards to China, has anyone been to Shanghai or Beijing? My original plan was to go to Shanghai, but I wonder what Beijing will be like in the winter time? Is it some kind of Asian Winter Wonderland? It will be my first time in China, and I'm looking to do the full tourist monty.

So I am looking for advice on:

1. Shanghai V. Beijing - who will win! :o

2. Places to see in China.

3. Getting from China to Thailand (via Macau, HK, Xiamen)

4. Visa requirements for China.
