Audison Bit One

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Is there anyone out there in the Pattaya area that has any experience with the set up of the Audison Bit One in car processor. :annoyed:

Have new one in the Mrs car but can't get my head around the setup-computer interface and all the low/high passes jargon etc.

Any assistance would be appreciated and a feed and beers on me. :jap:

Cheers

http://caraudiomag.c...t-one-processor this site may help, it's a long read.:)

It's found on Yahoo search.

Thanks for the link, I have read that earlier but still clear as mud. Maybe should rephrase my post.

Set up and installation is done, its the tuning I am having trouble with.

Can you decipher this?

Setup 1 was a 3-way active system with HLCDs, mid/midband drivers and subs. Crossover were set as highpass (HP), bandpass (BP) and lowpass (LP) using Butterworth networks, with the HP frequency set to 1000 Hz @ 48dB, BP at 60Hz-1000Hz @ 48dB and the LP at 50 Hz @ 24dB. Setup 2 was a front/rear/sub system with passive networks on the fronts and rears, Butterworth network fronts HP- 60Hz @ 36dB, rears HP-100Hz @ 42dB and subs LP-60Hz @ 24dB)

Once the setup was complete I was able to start tuning. The Bit One gives you many features to get your system tuned in just right. First you have to determine if you use a full range, high-pass, low-pass or band-pass crossover. Then you set the crossover type: you can use either Linkwitz-Reiley or Butterworth type networks. Crossover frequency is highly adjustable. It is grouped into different frequency sets and then broken down further from there. Next you will need to decide on where you want your listening position to be set for the time delay. To set the delay simply measure all your distances and enter them for each speaker. The Bit One will set the delays automatically (there is also the ability to fine tune the delay in .02 milliseconds). In addition, there's a phase inversion button to invert the phase of any speaker as well as a left/right crossover link.

Got me stumped.

May have to find someone in Bgk that know these systems if no one out this way.

Thanks again

Seems to me you need to mess about with it and just follow the info and by trying all the settings.

Maybe a guru on the " internet, computers, communication, technology " forum. or try " Audio / Visaul, HiFi and home theatre " forum, that's what I would do until you find someone who knows. hope you sort it anyway.
