Hello, In regards to changing a tourist visa into a non imm. B: I have a 60 day 3 entry visa (I'm on the second entry which is up on July 3rd). I have read that you are required to have at least 21 days left on the visa to complete the change and it will cost 1,900 baht. There are 18 days until my current entry is expired. Do I have to start that third entry to have enough time to transfer to a B visa, or will that sixty days be recognized without leaving. I know it is confusing. I am just trying to find out if I can get this done without leaving the country again; I am teaching and cannot afford the time and money. Thank you.

Immigration now allows less days than 21, so you should be fine (provided all your documents are in order of course and you have applied for the work permit and recieved a WP3 form from the labour department).

Conversion costs 2,000 baht and you might need to return after 90 days to get a 1 year extension for 1,900 baht.

It also depends on where you apply, many immirgaiton offices will send you to Bangkok to convert.
