What's behind the current THB strength?
Exchange rate reporting management to Thompson Reuters on Friday night and volumes are very small over the weekend, on Monday morning management passes back to the FOREX when normal volumes resume. The Dollar Index surged on Friday to 102.5, which should see a stronger USD at the open but Thailand opens before the US so the effect may not be felt. The Middle East and the oil price are the current drivers. . -

Thailand's Cashless Leap: Ahead of the Asean Pack by 2028
When I went to China in 2013, no cash in the markets, traders wouldn't accept it. Elsewhere was all QR code and they didn't like it if you tried to pay cash, just wasn't worth the wait for change. We had to cross a river to the town on a small ferry, fare about 3 baht and everyone including the aged were paying by phone. I had to pay a yuan as I never had anything that small. Driver always smiled, 3 passengers in one. Why do people think the Thais are incapable of getting in the same position. But then the US was about 20 years behind Europe on chip and pin, obviously a reluctance to progress. Why do people -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
You really seem to care more about me then I care about you 🙂 I simply answered your question why some people are concerned about thai tax changes it is because they could lose a lot of money. Why you care remains a mystery to me as most of your funds will already be taxed (rental income, pensions etc) somewhere else so Th taxes do not make any difference. Why do you feel the need to insult people who have more money then yourself? What would you think of me if I insulted you about not having any investment income? Bad style my friend. "So exactly why you even bother to log onto this thread, especially given that you live full time over 8,500 kms away. is extraordinary, to say the least!" Also you wrote" did a lot of my tax planning over twenty years ago, just before I moved to Thailand and whilst I was still earning income from work." The decission where I move next is important to me and a lot of my clients. Only a complete fool would move to another country without following closely the changes in tax law BEFORE they moved. Can you understand this? -

Huge markup on imported foods. Why?
Premium pure butter and cheese. The original Australian brand. Number 1 brand for 7 consecutive years, originated in Australia since 1869 Allowrie has been making tasty and quality Dairy products from real cow's milk. KCG’s founders, very impressed with Allowrie' s quality & taste, started importing Allowrie to Thailand since 1970. -

Is Thailand Value for money
You keep saying it's nonsense and that's only your opinion, and it doesn't disprove anything because you aren't a credible person from what you've said. You keep trying to disprove what I'm saying but failed to, only offering up, "it's nonsense". I have been doing this all my life, and know the health value of food. You saying pizza, burgers and scampi etc aren't healthy shows just how little you do know . They CAN be healthy if prepared healthy, just as healthy food can be made un healthy by adding certain things. Research more, go less by others opinions. Simple. I've eaten things with sugar alcohols a long time, limited of course, and they haven't caused me any trouble whatsoever. BP 115/54. resting pulse 58, blood sugar 88, cholesterol below 5.o body fat under 10% now, from age 17-62 3-6%. Trump Urges Israel to Strike Iran’s Nuclear Facilities
Unfortunately it isn't as simple as that. I agree with this statement from you. "I would like to see Iran's nuclear capabilities taken out but I don't pretend to understand the logistics or risks of doing that." I'm afraid, have the feeling, the consequences could be really bad. -

Am I too late for online 90 day report?
So is it correct that my mail-in 90-day report should be successful, after it was delivered to the Immigration 8 days before of the due date? What is your suggestion, for how long I should wait for the self-addressed letter with the confirmation until I should go there in person? -

Keir Starmer’s EU Reset: A Strategy Built on Falsehoods
Agreed. And the £22 billion "black hole" claimed by Reeves and the £22 billion previously unannounced capital investment is, of course, pure coincidence.
