I've just done a check for the whole offer period and if you can fly starting in August then you will get the quoted fare to London, subject to availability.

I just checked on your link and the price to London and back to Bangkok came out at 39950bt

Although they clearly show the advertised promotion price at 26500bt incl Tax when you try to book

it comes out a lot higher.

cheaper even than the infamous EGYPT AIR to FRA which can sell as low as 25.500 THB (and comes with Star-Alliance-Miles awarded).

just be forwarned that ETIHAD recently re-fitted their B777 and now they have 10 seats per row - this aircraft is actually designed for 9-seats per row.

I had the "pleasure" to fly on similar re-fitted B777 aircraft in the past 24 months, operated by EMIRATES and AUSTRIAN, and it was HORRIBLE.

a real budget-Airline-Sardine-Can experience.

I am since then trying to avoid longhaul-flights on B777 alltogether, or choose airlines where I can be sure (so far, at least) they only have 9 seats on their B777 Y-class (such as Malaysian or QATAR, both highly recommended).

Will be in one of those 10 seats this Thursday, not looking forward to being a sardine, but the connecting flight is 2-3-2, so should be better, and not so full I hope

I've just managed to book BKK - LHR - BKK and the cheapets I could get was 40,000 baht. I had to move the departure date by 1 day otherwise it would have been 50,000 baht.The strange thing is I have had no email confirmation, do Etihad usually send email confirmation or is it more likely I had a typo in my email address

Strange, ,just tried BKK-LHR dep Aug 1 return 22 aug: Depend seats available and yes you should get confirmation email, have you made anote of booking number?

Looks to be mainly the 08.35 departure from BKK, impossible to make from CNX without an overnight-stay in Bangkok, unfortunately. If only someone did an 06.00 CNX-BKK connection, as this is a common problem, with other airlines too.

I did BKK-CAI-LHR on EgyptAir in May, all 4 sectors were on 3-3-3 B777-300s, for what it's worth. Very comfortable ! Although I believe BKK-CAI-BKK is now a 2-4-2 A330.
