As Buyer:

Conducted RFQ's for sealed bids, negotiated pricing & delivery times with vendors in Iraq & Kuwait,and issued purchase orders.

Materials purchased for the maintenance and new construction of the camp and prison were of a wide variety including, but not limited to, vehicles and/or parts, heavy equipment parts,nails/lumber/concrete, electrical/plumbing/carpentry items, IT supplies, clothing/bedding/personal hygiene items/cigarettes/cold weather gear for up to 33,000 Prisoners in the Theater Internment Facility (TIF).

Received customer orders fromU.S. Army/Navy/Air Force as well as KBR employees.

* Promoted to Buyer and recruited to team sent to Camp Bucca with the objective of starting an on-site procurement group (Second assignment at Camp Bucca).

* Assisted KBR security and U.S. Military in scheduling, vetting & badging, escorting in secured areas the local Iraqi vendors delivering materials from purchase orders that I issued.

* Trained inexperienced expat in the art of expediting and entrusted him with Camp Bucca's expediting tasks; employee received promotion from supervisor two months after completing my training course.

As Senior Expediter:

* Expedited for 4 military bases (Camp Bucca, Camp Cedar, Camp Scania, & Tallil Airbase) encompassing a KBR workforce of approximately 2,000 employees, an ever-changing amount of troops, and up to 33,000 prisoners.

* Directly responsible for all expediting operations, two American expats, one Indian and one Philippine national. Reported directly to the Procurement Supply Manager (PSM).

Kuwait and Jordan

Expeditor (06/2004 - 09/2004)

Material Coordinator (08/2003- 06/2004)

Oversaw shipping and receiving of material at KBR Central Warehouse in Kuwait. Prepared shipping documentsfor freight movement to various locations in Kuwait and Iraq. Received material at various locations e.g. Israeli Customs, Jordan Customs Zones, Amman Int'l Airport, KBR Whse, and various other locations. Arranged for material movement thru out Iraq and Kuwait thru freightforwarder, and completed MRRs. Received material from local vendors and from shipments originating in United States, Jordan and Dubai.

* One of three assigned to effectively expedite all PO's generated by Kuwait Procurement Department.

* Provided coverage in absence of material supervisor.

* Effectively sorted and completed a rolling inventory conducted and passed onto construction engineers.
