What's The City

Featured Replies

OK, here's the next one, but I promise you:

Not easy but to help a little I post 3 pics this time!

LaoPo

Nobody ? :o

Hint: It's not Asia.

LaoPo

This is a quote from Old Croc* in 'What's the City' topic:

"And how about giving a reasonable clue for that building you've posted in the "city" thread. I spent hours looking around asia for it and was pissed off when you said it was not there! Did you photoshop the asian boatmen into the picture"

...spent hours.....? We all spent hours searching, at least I did with your pics, Croc. :D

...pissed off........? We all were pissed off at some point before too Croc. :D

...Photoshop the Asian boatman....? No I didn't, because it's not an Asian boatman. :D

It's also NOT an Australian-, Middle Eastern-, European- or South American boatman and I doubt if you can find such a guy in the US. :D

And: maybe you wouldn't think so but it's a Capital City, whilst the tall building is a bank....

Here are the pics again:

I wasn't really pissed off LP. :D I was just playing with you. :D

Your red herring trick with the boatmen in the picture is just part of the game. :o

I post using the fast reply function a lot, hence a lack of smilies sometimes.

:D:D:D:D

JHC guys , it's been a Thai week and nobody's even had

a guess yet !

I wasted a lot of time like you Croc , wandering around

Asia.

The scenery said Africa to me but the guy in the boat looked

"overdressed".

Anyway

I threw a dart at a map of Africa and it landed in Kigali , Ruanda.

I know it's not there but if you said "up a bit , down a bit , left a

bit , right a bit" LP we could move this along.

Go North West of Rwanda... :D

And, because it's weekend: this country has no access to an ocean... :o

LaoPo

Bamako, Mali

You are a better darts player than me croc !

Chapeau ! I think you can claim it , I found the pic on google.

PS LP am I a thread killer or a thread reviver or as many have

told me just a schitzo ? Don't answer , I'm not having my best day.

1. It's Bamako - Mali indeed

2. You're a thread reviver Farangsay, no doubt ! :o

Your turn Croc.

LaoPo

Been looking at stadii (is that right?) for a while and have developed

a green haze blurring my vision.

What do they play here (don't say golf , just dont OK?)

:o

I think they run and jump and throw things and kick balls (soccer) and swim in the pool next door.

Not Europe, Asia, Australia, NZ, New Guineau nor any of the Pacific Islands.

Where's this city?

post-18822-1162706036_thumb.jpg

Is this taken from a TV-sreeen ? :o

Need another hint.

LaoPo

Not the Americas

So, is it correct that we don't have to look in:

Europe, Asia, Australia, NZ, New Guineau nor any of the Pacific Islands; plus the Americas.

Can I assume it is in Africa than ?

LaoPo

Still haven't found it , so I'll go with a "looks like"

Lome , Togo

:D

PS If ever your life gets TOO exciting and you want to

bore the pants off yourself for half an hour try browsing

through worldstadiums.com

:o

Not Lome, but nearly as obscure. Not that far from there.

Conakry , Guinea

PS when you post a "no" to that , could you add another

building or two. I am SO fed up looking at pix of stadiums.

:o

Here's another photo of the city. The stadium is in the back left.

post-18822-1162809808_thumb.jpg

Libreville, capital city of Gabon, West Africa.

Stadium complex.

Did you click on the photo and read what it says.....? :D

librevillefukcinggabon :o he/she must have been fond of the country... :D

LaoPo

What's the city ?

The eye can be deceiving. It's not always where it's supposed to be.

Hint: not Europe...

LaoPo

55555555555555 Didn't notice that before. :D

is this in South America?

No, it's not.

In fact it's in Asia...of all places. And everybody knows the name of the city these buildings are in.

LaoPo

Macau?

You just 'got' me before jumping under my Silk Duvet.... :o

NO: It's not a Chinese speaking city/country.

Question: Where on earth does one find 2 of such buildings (1 Cityhall, 1 Church), close behind each other ?....and in what kind of place/city ? :D

Question: are they new or old.....since there are typical Amsterdam - Holland houses on the left and back-right...................:D

Not so long ago you were the one who gave me a hint; it's the same hint....but maybe you can't remember.

LaoPo...................and: good night! :D

PS: what about 'our' What's the Place topic ? :D

Macau?

You just 'got' me before jumping under my Silk Duvet.... :o

Silk Duvet!? :D I think I'm betting on that in the Melbourne Cup! :D

I've just climbed out from under my old army blanket to face another day. :D
