Paying The Stamp In Vietnam

Featured Replies

Hello i fly into Saigon tomorrow from Bangkok. I have the letter printed off and paid for but i belive i need to pay $25 when getting my passport stamped. Due to finances i dont really want to take money out the machines in Bangkok (well in in Chiang Mia) Will i have a chance to withdraw some Dong to pay for the passport stamp before hand?

Forgive my ignorance. thanks

AS far as I am aware, the fee is payable in US Dollars only. Best to change some baht into USD before you fly.

you can also exchange any currency in Saigon or Hanoi arrival just on arrival in the hall you get the visa but I can't tell you if exchange rate is better or worst then un BKK Airport or any Bank in Thailand :(

I recall that the cash machines and exchange currency booths are downstairs, after the amazingly slow and confusing, long form filling, name shouting out, photo sticking process at immigration.

Still enjoyed the place though.
