Phuket Airport

Featured Replies

Just wondering if Phuket Airport has a curfew? I all ways have problems getting flights from Australia back to Phuket. They are all morning flights from Perth which dont suit me, the evening flights all go through Singapore or KL and then its a few hours wait to get the morning flight through to Phuket.

There are plenty of direct flights to Bangkok in the afternoon, but they all land at that really convenient hour when the last domestic flights are leaving for Phuket.

So basically my questions are:

Does the Airport have a curfew? If yes why????

If no, is it possible to jump on any other flight coming internationally from wherever and go down to Phuket. (example an airliner coming from Russia...dumping a few passengers in BKK then continues on to Phuket)

Does anyone know the time of the last domestic flights down from BKK to Phuket? Yes I have checked all the websites that I know (air asia bkk airways, one2crash and bird airlines) and it doesnt appear that any fly down after 10pm

Usually the domestics from bkk finish just before midnight but lots of the European flight land during the early morning hours.

Get to Singapore and jump on a budget airline.

Doesn't happen, no budget airlines from Singapore to Phuket until about 730am, same as KL

It's about the same time the domestics start up from Bkk.

No luck getting direct form Perth to Phuket even through Thai?

They are empty most of the time.

Get to KL and you can get a Qatar airline to Phuket.

Check their site.

It's Doha/KL/Phuket.

No they only fly on thursdays or some crap, Virgin fly direct at midday but I have to fly in to Perth from a regional airport at that time, so its either stay in perth the night and wait for the next day or fly to BKK and see what happens. Singapore airlines is fully bookedangry.gif

Good suggestion they have a 1020pm flight, the only flight lands from Australia at 1005pm...cutting it a bit fine

if you landed in BKK on board one airline and another was there on a tech stop... i.e. refuelling or letting passengers off then I think, and I stand to be corrected, that you would be unable to join that flight to Phuket due to stand alone cabotage.

In that the airline may not have the right to pickup passengers for transport within the same country without proceeding to the airlines country of origin.

I may well be wrong and there are many airline professionals here in TV..... maybe I got this wrong.
