June 24, 201115 yr So, got a new washing machine, an Electrolux. At the spin cycle, heard a tremendous racket, and went to the laundry room to discover that the machine had walked halfway across the floor. Any advice?

June 24, 201115 yr sounds like a load balancing problem. Is the floor actually level in that room? Agreed, even level floor or not, if the load is imbalanced it will cause the machine to walk in the spin cycle. Open the lid, move things around (you'll undoubtedly find more things on one side or the other in the tub) should be end of problem.
