Seismic Posted July 4, 2011 Share Posted July 4, 2011 In Europe and the USA a new non-invasive treatment for Dupuytrens contracture is now available as an injection. Xiaflex or, in Europe, Xiapex are FDA/EU approved Clostridial collagenase injections which can restore movement to affected digits. Should note that it does not offer that much advantage over needling and can be more painful, and is a slower therapy as only one joint can be done at a time. it's main advantage would be in cases where the location on the findger is too close to a nerve to perform needling.
