Donchan Palace In Laos

Featured Replies

Hi,

I want to stay a few nights at the

http://www.donchanpalacelaopdr.com

but on their website the price is 150 us dol,

and I found 92 us dol on another internet booking website.

Do you think it might be cheaper if I book directly at the desk?

I mean, as much as I know US dol isn't yet the official Lao currency, so the 'local' price is maybe cheaper?

Have you been there? Worth the price?

Thanks.

As a rule of thumb walk in rates are higher than internet rates.

Try having a real trawl through a good few sites online. The differences in price from one site to another can be quite surprising.

stayed there a few times, its usually around $80++ depending on how busy they are, call them direct and ask what the best rate is.

The only drawback compared with the Laos plaza is not having building wide internet connections (plaza has an RJ45 socket in every room). I only stay there when they can give me a room above the pool area as you can pic up wireless from the access points by the pool, its also a lot more expensive $15 for 6hrs access compared to the plazas $10 for 24hrs.

If you want a user/pass for the wireless PM me, it will be vaild for another 5 weeks and theres probably 3hrs remaining..
