I'm looking to make a booking for August with them, BKK - LDN rtn. They are cheap compared to other airlines for that month at 32k and the stopover is only 90 mins, so it looks good.

Having never flown with them before I don't want to spend close to bt100k before I can be sure they are a good airline. A screen on the back of the seat in front of you is very important.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Agree, very good, recently flew LHR - BKK return withteh short stop over in AUH. Staff very good, IFE good, planes good, attention good, time keeping good. Cannot fault them. This was my 1st time with them.

I fly them again no problems, much better than others who fly direct (not including EVA but even EVA are expensive now!)

the only issue I had with Etihad now thinking about it was the AUH - BKK flight when Arabs joined and sat where they wanted. I had to tell one guy in his 20's to move he waved me off so I told him again and he moved. They are rude people! IMO

Oh you waciest… but rude would be putting it mildly.:jerk:

I have flown Etihad to Dublin as well and found them to be very good and I plan to use them again to fly to BKK from Jeddah in August.

I'm flying with them to London on the 19th. It's the first time for me too but I've not heard anything bad about them, other than the obvious that it will be full of Arabs.

I have not used them for a couple of years But used them for all my 4 trips out to Thailand from manchester

Last time I used them the food was slightly worse than when I first used them 5 Years ago now But the service and Aircraft are good.

My wife says Quatar has the edge. I am only speaking Econ Class.

If you leave Bkk on the night flight take a bite to eat, It's a long wait before you get feed on the next leg. Other than that no worrys

Well wrong there.

Vast majority are Europeans on the flights !!

Have done 11 returns on Etihad and overriding thoughts were the lack of Arabs.

Doubt you will see any Arabs in Econ Class. All the ones I saw were up front in nice flat beds.

Best keep away from that section.

Be aware that the BKK-AUH leg is in a B777/300ER in a 3/4/3 configuration, a pain in the A literally when seated in the midlle seats.

Most airlines flying B777/300 have a 3/3/3 config.

You might encounter long walks in the new AUH T2 terminal and the Etihad business lounge is no longer accessible for cattle class passengers holding silver/gold FF cards, must use the contract lounge in terminal 1.
