I am 46 and German. Last year I got my non immigrant "O" (1 year) visa in Hull, GB. It was quite easy despite not being married to a Thai. I just had to state that I have enough money to support myself for 1 year. Now I contacted Hull again and the rules have changed. You need to show a marriage certificate, or some other papers to obtain it. Now my question:

Does anybody know about a consulate where it´s still easy to get a non immigrant "O" (1 year visa?). How about Stuttgart?

Visiting friends etc, is no longer a valid option for a visa anywhere.

You might apply for a double or triple entry tourist visa, which would be good for 6 or 9 months respectively. (Each entry is valid for 60 day but can be extended by another 30 days, than you leave the country and get a new entry).

How about Sydney. I have also heard it might be still easy there?
