Drunken Urinating Woman Sues Over Impaling

Featured Replies

A Victorian woman who impaled herself in the groin after falling from a veranda onto a fence while drunkenly urinating is suing her former fiancé who owned the property.

Michelle Egglestone, 35, from South Ballarat, suffered serious internal injuries that required surgery over the incident on November 1, 2008, The Age reported.

Ms Egglestone believes former fiancé Leslie Furness showed negligence by not providing balustrading on the veranda as well as leaving the pickets which Ms Egglestone fell onto uncapped.

The lack of safety measures breaks building regulations.

Ms Egglestone is seeking compensation for damages and loss of earning from Mr Furness, according to Victoria Supreme Court documents.

The court documents claim that in conjunction to injuries and scarring to her pelvis and lower abdominal sustained in the fall, Ms Egglestone also suffers depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress as a result of the incident.

The trial is expected to go ahead at a later date.

Now isnt this a "lovely" western white girl?:D

I have seen a couple of Thai females urinating in public. One was a video from Walking Street in Pattaya where she stopped in the middle of the street, over what looked like a drain, dropped her pants and did her business. Another time, which I saw with my own eyes, was in the parking lot of Mike's Shopping Mall behind the fruit stalls. One of the workers went behind the stalls, dropped her pants and did her business. People are the same all over.

Unfortunately it is a common thing to sue for things like that.

I vaguely recall some golfers having a few drinks on a course and were driving their cart over a bridge over a creek. They couldn't find the ball so were going back over the bridge (still looking all over the place) and drove straight over the edge and into the creek. They sued.

Marvellous innit.

Walking the dog back in Scotland on my local beach... Sunday morning.... the numerous jam rags obviously discarded in a hurry before the main action began....aye classy birds aplenty everywhere! biggrin.gif

The real crime is that she's able to sue up the kazoo for something caused by her own doing.

Mai phen lai. White trash character.

When you gotta go, you gotta go. However, one has to wonder what was wrong with the toilet inside the place? I think she can only blame herself in this case, though I sympathize with her injuries. Pretty horrible. I know it's a bit off topic, but when is someone going to design something better that an empty plastic water bottle for cars stuck in Thailand traffic jams? Panthip Plaza area around 7.00 pm on a Friday night when it's raining comes to mind. We spent 3 hours once not long ago, moving just 100 mtrs. If you're the only one who can drive, it's not like you can dash into the nearest mall. Peeing on the road beside the car in that kind of public area is asking for a huge fine/bribe at best. What do you do? With all our high tech gear that we have in cars today, one of the most basic, common needs that most of us face or will face at some time, has yet to be worked out. The person who does come up with a solution, would make a fortune here in T/L alone.
