There are also tourism departments in other countries, but having leaders, royalty, public figures etc wave the flag and push cultural agendas can make a difference. -

Yet, still, compared to BKK girls, the Average American Tattooed Woman.... Still Takes the Cake, ....in fatness...and only when she wants to.... Big Time! America will Always be No. !....in everything. This is a given. And, we like it like this. America invented the BIG MAC, and the Big Everything..... By comparison, Thai girls in BKK are just plain puny.... Note: This girl is not only attractive, meaning her happy face, but also Super Duper.... -

Bangkokians are now the fattest Thais
If western food ws never adopted here, most Thais would be lean. Using oil a lot isn't the culprit, nor is MSG. Stir frying isn't bad in and of itself. Their basic diet has always been rice, pork, fish, chicken, veggies and fruit. You don't get overweight on that, especially if you're a farmer who works much of the day. It's the western drinks and food, snacks, etc, along with beer, added to that Thai diet that has them gaining weight and slowly catching up with westerners. -
