PARISH, NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) -- Three people were found dead at a home in northern New York on late Saturday evening, police said on Sunday. Their cause of death was not immediately known.

A statement from the Oswego County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Route 11 in the town of Parish at around 10.55 p.m. local time on a report of an unattended death.

"Deputies searched the home and found three deceased people," the statement said. "Each of the three did have injuries, but it has not been determined what caused them or if they played a part in the deaths."

Police said the bodies were taken to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office which will assist with positively identifying the bodies and determining a cause of death. It was not immediately known if there were children among those killed.
