Although the owner of this Koh Chang Dive Centre and PADI Five Star Dive Shop is planning to return to his European homeland he wishes to retain 50 percent of the company. A joint partner who will take over the day to day running of the enterprise is being sought. Assets worth around 8 million baht are in place, and good economic results are being achieved. In the last financial year net profits of approximately 1,750,000 baht were earned. Receipts for the year totalled roughly 6 million baht, and although costs entailed with such an industry are relatively high, monthly rent of just 20,000 baht is payable for a 60 square metre property. Salaries vary with the season as half of the staff are retained on a part time basis. A fully developed website helps to attract custom, but the seven year old business already has a good following amongst the diving fraternity.
