DocHolliday2006
Hi. I'm in Chiang Mai right now. My visa is almost up, and I want to check out Malaysia. I'll be leaving this week. There are three things I want to do in Malaysia, and I'm looking for advice on how to string together my trip to greatest efficiency, least cost, etc. Things to do: 1) Go to Penang for a durian feast. 2) Explore the island of boreno, which I've heard a lot about. 3) eventually, find a Thai embassy so I can get another tourist visa. Penang is closer than Borneo, so should that be my first stop? Is it best to go there by plane from Bangkok? Anyone go by train? How do you like to travel there? PoorSucker
You can get a new visa in Penang if you have not extended your last visa with 30 days at immigrations. If you have extended your visa then plan to go to Kuala Lumpur.
