Is it shaded or open tot he sun all day?

Does it get really dry in dry season where you are, or are you southern coastal?

Is the ground water logged?

I bet you are trying to grow grass in acid as well.

Only have 3 options in Thailand sorry.

astroturf? sorry couldnt resist. :D

A mate bought some of the cheap fake grass from HomePro for a maintenance-free lawn, turned out not to be waterproof :ermm: and after a recent flood he was left with just the backing. :(

took my gf a while to convince me it wasnt waterproof.. i almost instaled it.

The cheap grass that grows easy looks more like little leafs... its crap..

We have 'nua noi' grass in our garden. Some people here call it Japanese Grass.

Needs some watering during the dry season but not too much.

I cut ours maybe every three weeks during the rainy season.

Very low maintainance.

hi, there are probably a zillion types of grasses but I am going to have a stab at this.

google on 'vetiver grass'. used in soil stabilisation, very hardy and available in Australia and Thailand (don't know Thai name)

The two main grass types I have seen here is Japanese and Malaysian.

Malaysian grass has wider leaves and does not need too much sun.

However Japanese looks better, grows faster, but needs alot of sun and frequent watering.
