Man wounded after shooting at restaurant customers in east Pattaya

PATTAYA: A 33-year-old Thai man got more than he bargained for after getting into an argument with customers at a police-run restaurant on Soi Siam Country Club in the early hours of Friday morning. The man allegedly had an argument with other customers at the restaurant and stormed out. He returned a short time later on his motorbike and produced a pistol. He started firing at the customers, but fortunately no-one was injured. Instead, he got the shock of his life when he began receiving return fire.

Police Chief investigates East Pattaya restaurant shooting

PATTAYA: -- An update now on the shooting incident at a Police-run restaurant in Soi Siam Country Club in the early hours of Friday Morning. Later on Friday we spoke with Police Colonel Somnook, the Chief of Banglamung Police and asked him why a crowd of people, thought to be customers from the restaurant, were allowed to assault an injured man, strapped to a backboard, in preparation for transporting to Hospital, even though Police Officers were on-scene and appeared not to be controlling the situation. The Colonel confirmed that the main instigator, Khun Gitijalern aged 33, who was shot in his legs by the owner of the restaurant, who is also a Banglamung Police Officer, is thought to have shot a total of 4 times, and one of the restaurant patrons did sustain a minor flesh wound.

Mob rule at the restaurant ohmy.gif its a good job he was on a back board otherwise there might have been a lynching party as well.
