Air Asia New Gatwiick Hub

Featured Replies

Hi Mods not sure if this is best slot ,do reposition in Swampy/general if you wish

icon1.png Air Asia to use London Gatwiick(South ) from Oct 24th

Budget no frills carrier is to switch from Stansted NE of the capital to Gatwick in Sussex about an hour South of London

For those chaps and chavs unacquainted with Crawley area Gatwick has probably as good links to London.

Direct Express train expensive about 30mins to Victoria and the tube

Same station normal trains to London Croydon (Chav Central) and Brighton.

There is also a long distance coach Station with direct links to Bristol Oxford etc

Fares from around 250 sterling single for a very long flight 13-14 hrs

Would be good if they could also become the first non-stop no-frills carrier to Bangkok (though EVA is pretty good value most of the year). Will never happen - BA and Thai will see to that!

Edit: I mean the first from the UK, of course
