Checking Passport Appilcation In Bangkok

Do they offer a service at the british embassy to check your documents when applying for a uk passport via hk.

I mean give them the once over to check everything is ok

They used to check and accept payment too. I think you will find that they have now washed their hands of the whole process.

Hong Kong office is actually very good. There was a slight problem with my application. I received and email from them. I replied and the next day had another email saying everything was sorted.

All in all a very efficient service.

Just sent my docs away to get a new one, sent by EMS on Monday, tracked to Hong Kong, just wait and see what happens and when they take the money from the Bank.

Correct, they have washed their hands of the whole process - with the exception of if your old passport has been damaged or lost.

renewal for me and daughter.

Made a error on my form by putting a "x" rather than a tick. Also couple of spelling errors on daughters but blacked them out.

Nothing major but you never know.

I also noticed the c1 and c2 forms have different first pages.

For example the C1 and C2 forms i have ask at the top. Intials, family name and date of travel.

The one in this link http://centralcontent.fco.gov.uk/resources/en/pdf/central-content-pdfs/form-c1.pdf asks for surname and forenames.

I will go get a new print out i guess. but why are they different?

Did not see date of travel on the front page when I downloaded them.

Same forms just different front page. Will be getting a print out tomorrow.

Hey you really wouldnt think they would fail you if you marked the box with a x rather than a tick would u. lol. They are a funny lot though at these passport offices..
