Krabi,Ko Phi Phi,Phuket

Featured Replies

I will be coming to krabi/Phuket with my children and my gf and her son for 5-6 days.

We will fly down from Bkk. I am thinking of flying into Krabi and flying back to BKK from Phuket or vice versa.

What i need is some advice on the best way to have a few days in Krabi(maybe Ao Nang as we would like to go to Railey Beach) and a trip to Maya Bay and then a couple of days in Phuket (i'm thinking of Kata Beach). I haven't been to Phuket since the 90's.

I have read on the forum i can get a long tail boat to Railey from Ao Nang for a day trip,so that part of the trip is fine.

What i need to know is can we get from Krabi to Phuket by boat/ferry and stop off at Maya Bay on the way? If not, would it be better to do Maya Bay from Phuket or Krabi? Otherwise i guess we would have to rent a car and drive from Krabi to Phuket.

Basically just need to get some sort of plan/timetable together.Hotel recommendations would also be nice but it's more about making a plan to fit all the above places into.

Any ideas ??

The boat services from Ao Nang or Krabi via Phi Phi to Phuket do not stop at Maya Bay, but at Tonsai Bay only. If you want to visit Maya Bay, you best book a day trip from Ao Nang. If you are not familiar with driving in Thailand, I do not recommend you to rent a car to go from Krabi to Phuket. You'd better hire a car with a driver, which cost you between THB 2'500 to 3'000.
